Fruitless Jabs

Returning from a birthday party tonight, Anne "Rumpy Ronin" Lee and Jerome "Wordy Witness" Martin stealthily stopped by room 318 to visit a former teammate, Matt "Say My Name" Ebbel. As Anne, thinking herself in safety, hugged near-millionaire Rich "Sleeping Sickness" Cooper, Susan "Eager Ineptitude" Chen of the Crusaders for Jebus jumped up from a seat in the common room. She was wielding a single-shot nerf weapon (actually belonging to Christine "Shoot the Other Cheek" Heske and lent to Ebbel) and she attempted to shoot Anne.

However, the complexity of her trigger mechanism proved too much for her, and fiddle as she might, she could not make the gun fire. Anne, as soon as she caught sight of the weapon, leaped for the door. As she escaped fleetly into the corridor, Susan Chen with impotent shrieks poked her with the unfired weapon. "She's dead, right? She's dead, right?" Susan whimpered, staring at the nerf dart still firmly lodged in the chamber of her gun.
